I needed a simple way to track time by client and summarize it by month. But I found that all the mainstream options—like Toggl—far too complicated. They require you to track time by individual projects, specify billable hours, and navigate elaborate reports. It was overkill.
So, I created a straightforward prompt outlining exactly what I was looking for:
A modern, ultra-minimal time-tracking web app.
Each time entry needs only:
- Date
- Client
- Time (Hrs.)
- Note
Additional needs:
- Creating a new entry populates today's date and starts the timer
- Users can stop and restart an entry
- Users assign a client from a dropdown
- Users can edit an entry's client or time
- Users can manage the clients available for assignment to time entries
- Initial clients: Robinhood, 1 Hotels, University of North Carolina
- Time entries can be summarized by month and/or client
- Modern, clean, simple, ultra-minimal UI
- Include the attached logo
- Use only the colors from the attached logo
- Data is stored in localStorage
